Brand new power, 5A step-down constant voltage constant current module, with MPPT function, charging the battery with a solar panel can increase the charging current by more than double, effectively shorten the charging time and reduce the size of the solar panel. It can charge batteries, lithium batteries, etc., with turn light control, which is convenient for observing the charging status. Can be equipped with a multi-function voltmeter, input voltage, output voltage, output current and output power can be displayed intuitively, and can be completely used without the multimeter. Can be used as a high-power LED driver module.
Module parameters:
Module name: 5A step-down constant voltage constant current MPPT
Module Properties: Non-isolated buck module (BUCK)
Input voltage: 6-36V
Output voltage: 1.25-32 V continuously adjustable, (default output 5V.)
1.25-32 V Fixed Shipping Adjustable Output
MPPT voltage setting range: 6-36V
Output constant current range: 0.05-5 A long-term working current is recommended within 3A
(Output constant current is 3A)
Output lamp range: 0.01-5 A (lamp current is 0.3A) The current range will have a little error due to differences in parts parameters.
Working temperature: -40~ + 85 degrees
Operating frequency: 180KHz
Conversion efficiency: up to 95% (efficiency is related to input and output voltage, current, and differential pressure)
Short circuit protection: Yes (limit current to set constant current value)
Over-temperature protection: Yes (automatically turn off the output after over-temperature)
Input Reverse Connection Protection: None, (please input a diode in series if necessary)
Output anti-reverse irrigation protection: none, be sure to add anti-reverse diode when the output is connected to the battery, otherwise the module will burn out! Remember! (There is a reserved anti-reverse irrigation diode position, you can add it yourself if you need it. See the instructions below for the method) You can also choose our ideal diode, which has less loss and higher utilization of solar panels.
Charging instructions: red light when charging, green light when full. Turn light detection method is current. When using solar panel power supply, the charging current in the sun hour is also very small, lower than the turn light current, the same green light will turn on, but it is not full at this time, please pay attention to distinguish. Use a charged meter to see the charging current more directly.
Installation method: 4 3mm screws
Wiring method: terminal (when equipped with the shell, it is the welding wire output) IN is the input, OUT is the output
Module size: length 60mm, width 31mm, height 22mm (excluding watch head)
Note: The current detection of the module is a low-end detection, please do not short the input negative electrode and the output negative electrode directly with wires!
Scope of application:
1. DIY a regulated power supply with constant current function, which is not afraid of short circuit during use and can protect the load.
2. Power your electronic devices.
3. Charge various batteries, set the charging voltage and charging current according to the batteries of different voltages and capacities, and have a charging indicator function to facilitate the observation of the charging status.
4. Charge various batteries with solar panel power supply, with MPPT function, which can increase the charging current by more than double. With constant current function, it can prevent battery overcharge and effectively protect the battery.
5. Drive high-power LEDs, which can be freely combined in series and parallel.
6. As a car power supply, it can power your mobile phone or various digital products.
Operation instructions:
How to set voltage, current and turn lights: (please see the picture above for instructions)
If the module has no output voltage, please set the MPPT potentiometer clockwise to the output voltage.
1. Set the output voltage: according to the floating charge voltage value of the battery you want to charge, or the voltage value of the LED after series or parallel connection, adjust the constant voltage potentiometer (CV) and set the output voltage to the required voltage. (without connecting the load)
2. Set the switch light current indication: After setting the output voltage, adjust the CC potentiometer counterclockwise for about 20 turns, use the multimeter 20A current file to short-circuit the output, adjust the CC potentiometer to the current you need to turn the light, and then adjust the switch light potentiometer to just turn green.
3. Set the constant current value: After adjusting the turn light current, the multimeter 20A current file is still short-circuited. (The direct wire with voltage and ammeter can short-circuit the output.) Adjust the CC potentiometer to the current value you need to set. (When setting the output current by short-circuit method, the actual charging current will be smaller than the short-circuit setting current. It should be that the battery has a remaining voltage. If you want to set the accurate charging current, please use the discharged battery to connect to the output before setting the output current.)
Attention: The voltage should be higher than 1.25V when setting the constant current, otherwise the constant current function will fail.
4. Set the MPPT voltage value:
A. Use the adjustable voltage regulator power supply setting method: adjust the adjustable voltage regulator power supply to the voltage value to be set (such as 18V), and the output is not connected to the load. When the module has an output voltage, adjust the MPPT setting potentiometer counterclockwise to the critical point where the output voltage just decreases.
B. The method of directly setting with the solar panel: input directly connected to the solar panel, set the output voltage according to the load, block part of the light shining on the solar panel, and output connected to the load. Multimeter measures the output voltage of the solar panel (with voltmeter cut to the input voltage display), adjust the MPPT potentiometer to the solar panel voltage to the maximum power point voltage. (The actual maximum power point voltage of the solar panel will be lower than the nominal voltage, such as an 18V solar panel, the maximum power point will be around 17.5V.)
You can also adjust the MPPT value by measuring the output current, and put the multimeter current file in series between the output and the load (the one with the meter head can be switched to the current display) to call back the MPPT potentiometer to the maximum output current.
Attention: When directly adjusting the MPPT value with a solar panel, when the power emitted by the solar panel is greater than the load power, please block part of the light on the solar panel to reduce the power of the solar panel, so as to adjust the MPPT value.
