The inspiration for the fragrance comes from vast landscapes and wilderness, and its name is French for "wild."
The scent begins with top notes of pepper and Calabrian bergamot, followed by a variety of heart notes such as patchouli, geranium, vetiver, lavender, pink pepper, Sichuan pepper, and elemi.
Its warm and woody base consists of cedar, labdanum, and ambroxan.
The 2015 reincarnation of it is the fresh and spicy spiritual successor.
Charlie Gold's top notes are an exotic blend of sweet orange blossom, plum, blackcurrant, gardenia, peach, and violet. Middle notes include carnation, tuberose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, orchid, lily of the valley, and rose that blend into base notes of honey, cedar, amber, sandalwood, and musk.
